They will be up for review until we discuss the proposed changes at the January meeting. We can vote on any changes once discussed and vote if a motion is raised. We will need a 2/3rds of the present members to pass any changes.

Board of Building Standards Stakeholder:

At its meeting on August 11, 2023, the Board of Building Standards adopted the update to the Ohio Building, Mechanical & Plumbing Codes by incorporating by reference the 2021 International Building, Mechanical, Plumbing & Existing Building Codes (I-Codes) with Ohio amendments effective March 1, 2024.

As discussed in our May meeting. You will find the new proposed legislation called the Ohio Childhood Safety Act. I read it as any E occupancies will need to have a third party inspection for any and all egress and fire doors annually. Take a look and I would love to continue the conversation in the comments.
